Junk Muncher is a local POP server that can filter your incoming mail based on a set of keywords and a block list, thereby reducing the amount of spam you download to your local PC. The program comes with a pre-loaded list of common spam phrases and you can add your own. Junk Muncher does not delete the filtered mail right away, but keeps it in a "jail" from where you can review it, and then permanently delete if you choose to. Using the program requires to set your POP settings to localhost.
